Core Factory or Coeur Factory?

When you look for the most essential part of something, you’re looking for its core.

In the late 14th century, the noun core came about from the Old French coeur, meaning “core of fruit” and more literally, “heart.” So the core of something is its very heart, whether you’re talking about the seed-containing centre of a fruit, the values that guide our behaviours, decisions and actions, or the fundamental movement patterns that you learn to create a daily yoga or Pilates practice.

Self care is at the heart of health and wellness and I believe that self-care is a constant process of centring ourselves and not a chore. I created The Core Factory in Sydney, Australia in 2011 to acknowledge my vocation to help others find ease in mindful movement. I am a fully Comprehensive Polestar Pilates teacher, Iyengar trained Hatha Yoga teacher and diploma certified Holistic Therapist/Body worker specialising in Reflexology, Remedial Massage and Aromatherapy.
